How to Create Your Own NFTs on Ethereum Using Mintable

Alex Lielacher

Learn how to create and mint your own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the easy-to-use NFT creator app, Mintable.

The NFT boom is in full force. Big brands, celebrities, and athletes are minting their own NFTs to capitalize on the latest crypto trend, making millions in the process. While you may not be able to afford some of the NFTs they are selling, you can create and sell your own NFTs and potentially make some money too.

In this guide, you will learn how you can create and mint your own NFTs using the plug-and-play NFT creator app, Mintable.

What is Mintable?

Mintable is a web-based NFT creation and minting app that allows anyone with an Internet connection to create and sell Ethreum-based NFTs without needing to code smart contracts.

In addition to its easy-to-use NFT minting feature, Mintable also provides an online marketplace for creators to sell their newly minted NFTs immediately upon creation.

Minable is an excellent entry app into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as anyone can upload an image, a gif, or a video and issue it as an ERC-721 token on the Ethereum blockchain.

As each NFT is stored as a unique token on the blockchain, each creator and subsequent holder has 100% verifiable ownership over the NFT.

How to Create Your Own NFT on Mintable

Minting your own NFT is surprisingly easy when using a make-your-own-NFT platform, like Mintable.

TLDR: On Mintable, you upload a piece of content, provide a description, choose a price you want to sell it for, and the app issues it in the form of an ERC-721 token on the Ethereum blockchain.

Yes. It really is that simple!

So, let’s dive in and break down the process into easy-to-follow steps to help you mint your first NFT.

To create and mint your own NFT, you need to first access Mintable.app and click on the *“Start Selling” *button.

At this point, you will be asked whether the item you want to start selling on the Mintable marketplace already exists in your wallet or whether you would like to create a new item.

Click on “Create a new item.”

You will then be asked whether you want to issue the token completely free and gasless or the traditional (more advanced) way. Since we want to keep it as simple and cheap as possible, toggle the switch to “Easy” and then, click on “Create a new item.”

Before you can create your own NFT, you will be asked to sign into your Mintable account. If you haven’t registered an account already, now is the time.

Once your account is verified (via email confirmation), you can go ahead and create your first NFT.

To create and list an NFT on the Mintable marketplace, you need a listing title, a listing subtitle, and a description for the content you want to turn into an NFT.

In terms of the types of content, you can mint into an NFT, Mintable allows you to choose from:

  • an image;

  • a GIF;

  • a video;

  • an audio file;

  • a document;

  • and more.

Upload the file you want to turn into an NFT and then choose a price and whether you want to copyright to the content to be transferrable.

Finally, hit the “List This Item” button and sign the transaction using your Ethereum wallet.

That’s it!

You will now be able to view your newly minted NFT on the Mintable marketplace and in your connected Ethereum wallet.

At this point, you can also browse the marketplace to see what tickles your fancy or look for inspiration for your next NFT.

If you have an artistic vein, you could even start your own NFT art collection and sell it in a personalized store on Mintable.

Mintable greatly reduces the barriers to entry to the NFT market, allowing anyone to become a crypto artist and try their luck at creating and selling NFTs to earn an income.

Digital art collectors will also enjoy the Mintable marketplace, especially those looking for crypto-themed artworks and collectibles. Categories on the marketplace include art, collectibles, domains, game items, music, templates, and videos.

From Bitcoin-inspired animations and tokenized Dogecoin memes to unique music tracks and .eth domain names, you can find pretty much anything weird and wonderful on the Mintable marketplace.

Once you have created and/or acquired a portfolio of crypto collectibles, it’s important to securely store your collection.
