How to Swap Tokens Using Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet is the simple-to-use, self-custody crypto wallet and gateway to Web3 for people who want to fully own, control, and leverage the power of their digital assets. From beginners to experienced users, Trust Wallet makes it simpler, safer, and convenient for millions of people around the world to experience Web3, store and manage their crypto and NFTs, buy, sell, and stake crypto to earn rewards, and access dApps securely—all in one place.
If you’re wondering how to swap tokens using Trust Wallet, you’re in the right place! Because another one of Trust Wallet’s features is the ability to “swap” or exchange different types of coins/tokens directly within the wallet app.
For instance, if you have Bitcoin (BTC) and wish to acquire Ethereum (ETH), Trust Wallet allows you to make this conversion directly within the app, eliminating the need for complex protocols, bridges, or third-party applications. But it doesn’t end there, you can swap any ERC20 token Trust Wallet supports and swap across other blockchains like the BNB Smart Chain, BNB Beacon Chain, and more.
Trust Wallet supports two types of swaps: “interchain swaps” that allow you to exchange coins/tokens within the same blockchain, and “cross-chain swaps” that facilitate the exchange of coins/tokens across different blockchains. Regardless of the type of swap you opt for, Trust Wallet ensures a smooth and hassle-free process.
Now, let’s delve into how in-app swapping works in Trust Wallet.
Swap your crypto in Trust Wallet
In this example, we’ll convert Polygon MATIC to USDC. This will be an “interchain swap” because we’ll be swapping them as assets that are both on the Polygon network.
Note: You can also easily perform “cross-chain swaps’’ using the exact same process. Cross-chain swaps allow you to swap assets across completely different blockchains.
Step 1: Select the Swap option.
You can either access the swap feature from the main Wallet page, or from an asset’s details page.
Once you’ve selected “Swap”, choose the asset you want to swap from (convert).
Step 2: Choose the assets you want to swap.
Next, you can either select the asset you want to convert if you see it, or find it using the search box. In the below example, you can see we’re searching for “polygon”.
Once you’ve selected the asset you want to swap from, select the asset you want to swap to. In this case, we want to swap Polygon MATIC for USDC.
Step 3: Type in your swap amount, then select “Preview Swap”.
Optionally, you can also use the percentage options.
Step 4: Review your swap details and select “Confirm Swap” to complete your swap.
Seamless swapping options
Whether you’re wonder where to buy Bitcoin and other crypto assets, or you want access to the latest meme coin, you can use Trust Wallet’s in-app swap feature to access crypto assets seamlessly – especially if your options to buy crypto are limited.
Another thing worth noting, is that in addition to in-app swaps you can also consider using Trust Wallet’s built in dApp browser to access decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap and others to swap assets.
Either way you choose, we’ve got you covered.
