Introducing BLINk — Play (and Earn) on Binance Smart Chain

Alex Lielacher

On November 18, leading blockchain gaming platform WINk launched the first gaming experience on Binance Smart Chain, called BLINk.

In this article, you will learn about WINk, BLINk, and how you can start gaming (and earning) on Binance Smart Chain’s gambling DApps.

BLINk is the first blockchain gaming ecosystem on Binance’s recently launched Binance Smart Chain.

According to a statement by WINk, BLINk was born out of a collaboration between WINk and the Binance community with the aim to:

“enable BNB holders to start using their tokens to experience the excitement of daily gaming and wealth redistribution that WINksters on Tron have been enjoying for over two years.”

WINk’s move to Binance Smart Chain is the first step in its plan to become a multi-chain gaming platform. Previously, WINk operated exclusively on the Tron network.

The WINk team chose Binance Smart Chain because it “offers low latency and high throughput for a large user base,” making it a high-performance blockchain network.

“With one second block times, 1 confirmation finality and low fees, the chain is ideal for a high volumes gaming platform such as WINk,” the team explained.

Whereas WINk’s Tron-based gaming platform has multiple tokens with different benefits and features, BLINk only has one platform token, called BLINk (BLK).

To distribute the token and raise BNB, the WINk team opted to run a token sale on PancakeSwap, Bakery Swap, and Bounce.

The First IFO on PancakeSwap

PancakeSwap users were among the first to get their hands on BLINk tokens via the platform’s new token distribution model.

PancakeSwap users interested in purchasing BLK tokens were able to do so on November 20, when the yield farming protocol held its first-ever initial farm offering (IFO).

To take part in the token sale, PancakeSwap users had to:

  1. Buy CAKE and BNB tokens

  2. Get CAKE-BNB LP tokens by adding CAKE and BNB liquidity

  3. While the sale was live, commit CAKE-LP tokens to buy BLK tokens

  4. After the sale ended, claim the purchased BLK tokens. (Unspent funds were sent back to users and in the case of an overflow, remaining CAKE-BNB LP tokens were unstaked)

BLINk managed to raise the amount of BNB tokens it planned to acquire, making PancakeSwap’s first IFO a raging success.

BLK tokens are BEP-20 tokens that operate on Binance Smart Chain and enable BLINk players to participate in the platform’s wealth distribution model.

WINk’s Journey from Tron to Smart Chain

Before deploying the first gaming DApp platform on Binance Smart Chain, WINk made its name as a leading blockchain gaming ecosystem on the Tron blockchain.

Following its IEO on Binance Launchpad, the gaming venture emerged as one of the most popular gaming DApps on Tron, regularly ranking among the network’s top DApps by daily usage.

WINk has excelled by offering a multitude of gaming DApps that enable gamblers to play dice, slots, and online poker while retaining custody of their funds and take part in the platform’s revenue share model.

WINk leverages smart contracts, token rewards, and self custody of funds to provide an enhanced and transparent gaming experience for bettors, a stark contrast to centralized online gambling providers.

WIN token rewards

Through its token rewards system — powered by the WIN token — stakeholders can earn rewards for participating in the ecosystem, which traditional online gambling platforms don’t provide.

The WIN token (available as a TRC-20 and BEP-2 token) can be used to stake to earn WinPower, earn a share of all DApp winning as part of the WinDrop program, and to receive airdrops, among other benefits.

Additionally, there are three sub tokens in the WINk ecosystem: Dice, Live, and Rake. Each token pays out a share of its platform’s winnings. Dice pays out a share of Dice winnings, Live pays a share of Casino games winning, and Rake pays out a share of online poker winnings.

As WINk aims to grow beyond Tron to become a global, multi-chain blockchain gaming brand, its expansion onto Binance Smart Chain makes sense given BSC’s features of low cost transactions and high speed, that make the chain highly suitable as a blockchain gaming platform.

To try your luck on BLINk gaming DApps, you first have to log into https://blink.wink.org/ and click ‘Login’ to connect your Binance Smart Chain wallet.

Currently, BLINk only supports the MetaMask client. So you will have to set up your BSC wallet in MetaMask. You can find a guide on how to do that here.

Once you are logged in, you will see a choice between Dice and Moon — the first two available gaming DApps on BLINk. However, Dice is the only game that is already live.

Dice is a permissionless, provably fair game of chance where gamblers choose a number and then predict whether it will be over or under that number.

You can decide how much you want to bet and see what your payouts would be should you win. The minimum bet amount is 0.1 BNB.

The high you make the number, the lower your chance of winning. However, should you win, then you will take home a much larger payout.

For example, if you bet 0.1 BNB at over 98 you only have a 1 percent chance of winning. However, if your number does come, you would generate a 98.5x return on your 0.1 BNB stake. introducing-blink-play-and-earn-on-binance-

While BLINk offers a user-friendly platform for blockchain-savvy gamblers, what’s arguably more exciting about the DApp is its wealth distribution system.

*The more you play to more BLK tokens you will earn. **This is the platform’s popular *behavioral mining element. Regardless of whether you win or lose, you will earn BLK tokens for interacting with the protocol.

Additionally, you can earn BNB “dividends” as a BLK holder.

After you have finished playing Dice (and have earned some BLK tokens), it’s important to “freeze” your BLK tokens.

The BLINk team explains that by freezing (which is essentially staking) your tokens, you will earn daily BNB airdrops in your BSC wallets. Every day the pool is positive, you earn BNB “dividends” directly into your wallet.

Every 24 hours, BLK token holders receive BNB drops while their tokens are frozen.

BLINk users can not only use the platform to gamble but also to earn a yield on their BLK tokens, which is arguably the most compelling aspect of BSC’s first gaming DApp.

As Binance Smart Chain continues to grow and new DApps deploy on its network, we can expect a broader array of projects (beyond DeFi) to launch on this high-performance chain.

Despite Ethereum’s migration towards ETH 2.0, Binance Smart Chain is poised to grow in size and importance in the burgeoning market for decentralized applications.
